Emerald

Pokémon Emerald is a sequel to Ruby and Sapphire, like an updated version. c:

 New Features

A new game of course brings all new features. Here's a list of them:
  • Pokémon have animations in battle.
  • The main characters have slightly different outfits.
  • Battle Tower is replaced with the Battle Frontier (The battle tower is also there)
  • You may have rematches with the gym leaders after beating the Elite Four.
  • Wallace is now the champion, and Juan is now the Sootopolis gym leader.
  • Contests are now all held in Lilycove city, and the old contest halls in other cities have been replaced with Battle Tents.
  • Team Magma has a new hideout in Jagged Pass.
  • Two trainers can team up in double battles.
  • After you beat the Elite Four, a new section of the Safari Zone is opened where you can catch Pokémon from the second generation.
  • Both Kyogre and Groudon can be obtained in the game.
  • Root and Claw fossils can be obtained in the game.
  • When you complete the Hoenn Pokédex, you may have a choice of one of the three Johto starters to keep.

 Unobtainable Pokémon

There are a few Pokémon you cannot catch in Emerald. If you want them they must be traded from Ruby or Sapphire.
