Photoshop Scanline Tutorial
See those pale little lnes? Those are scanlines. They add a little spoof to an image!
First of all, we have to make a pattern. Open a new 4x4 image and zoom in as far as possible. Now, draw one of the following patterns into your image:
Got one? Okay, now go to Edit>Define Pattern and name it whatever you like. Now go to your image. I'm using this simple little image:
Now select all on the layer you want to fill. In this case, I'm doing it under the text layer. Go to Edit>Fill and pick pattern and the pattern you made:
Okay, now it looks like you killed the image. Not to worry, play with the blending options (the dropdown menu under the 'Layers' tab in the layers dialog box) and pick one that you like. I chose soft light for this:
There you have it! Your very own pretty little image with pretty little lines! *brick'd*
